Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Department (RN-ER)
SHIFTS: 7pm-7am
Duration: 13 week
Location: Rock Island, IL
Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department (RN-ER) provides expert nursing care to patients in critical and acute conditions. They work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to assess, diagnose, and treat patients in emergency situations.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assess and triage patients upon arrival to the Emergency Department
2. Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and performing procedures
3. Respond quickly and efficiently to emergencies, coordinating with physicians and other healthcare providers
4. Document patient information accurately in electronic medical records
5. Educate patients and families on treatment plans and post-discharge care
6. Collaborate with social workers, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license in the state of practice
2. BLS, ACLS, MOAB ,NIHSS and PALS certifications required
3. Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency department setting
4. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
5. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
6. Ability to remain calm under pressure and prioritize tasks efficiently
7. Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
